I have so many fun childhood memories of spending our family vacations in Log Cabins in different locations around the country. Those homes were so much fun for kids our age. We did lots of exploring every nook and cranny both inside and outside. Other times, I would find a nice window seat and just sit and read for hours on end or daydream while admiring the view. To this day, when I see cabin-style houses, I’m always hit with lots of good memories. It’s making me wonder if I should look into taking my own family on a similar vacation one of these days.

Several years ago our company has some serious issues that at the time might be big enough to put us out of business. It wasn’t financial it was operational. It seems that all of our staff loves to throw a great party but nobody wants to clean up afterwards. I think a great present for any child is a train set. At first they might not be too thrilled, but I promise they will if they ever give it half a chance. It is something that can fill hours and hours of free time, with constructive play, not just mindless repetition. It is a way to think, build and create, all from your imagination. I think it is good for a child to use their mind, instead of sitting in front of the television for countless hours. I know when I was a kid, my train was my most prized possession.
