How Picture Lights Enlightened My Trip to the Art Gallery

I recently took my family to an art gallery.  I was struck by not only the beautiful art but also by how well the gallery used Picture Lights to display the art pieces.

My kids each chose a few pieces of art to study. The first picture that they chose was the Pieta by Michelangelo.  A pieta is a painting or sculpture of Jesus’ Mother Mary holding and crying over the lifeless body of Christ. The word pieta means pity. A lot of paintings and sculptures have been done.  Their researches about Michelangelo show that he became an apprentice painter at the young age of 12.  A few yews later he started to learn how to sculpt.  He created this masterpiece when he was 23 years old.  His most famous work was the painting of the ceiling of the Sistene chapel at the Vatican in Rome.  The project took him four years to complete.
