I recently took my family to an art gallery. I was struck by not only the beautiful art but also by how well the gallery used Picture Lights to display the art pieces.
My kids each chose a few pieces of art to study. The first picture that they chose was the Pieta by Michelangelo. A pieta is a painting or sculpture of Jesus’ Mother Mary holding and crying over the lifeless body of Christ. The word pieta means pity. A lot of paintings and sculptures have been done. Their researches about Michelangelo show that he became an apprentice painter at the young age of 12. A few yews later he started to learn how to sculpt. He created this masterpiece when he was 23 years old. His most famous work was the painting of the ceiling of the Sistene chapel at the Vatican in Rome. The project took him four years to complete.

I would really like to be able to play gospel music. It has been something that has been in my family for so many years. I just know that in order to be able to play gospel guitar, I am going to have to take some lessons. It is going to be something that will make the most sense as I am able to do it more often. I think that the more often I am able to go, the better I am going to get. I know that will be something that will really help me to feel like I am going better.

I always thought playing the guitar would be this hard and daunting thing to do. Really it isn’t. I’m surprised how easy I picked it up. A buddy in college was the one that taught me how to play. He had been learning some songs he liked and one night he happened to be playing something by Bob Dylan and it just clicked with me. He had to teach me! He pulled out this book of beginner guitar songs and we flipped through until we found one to teach me. I’m a pretty quick learning and he rocked at teaching so before the night was over I knew a whole song.

My sister is a graduate student at the state University a couple of hours away from where I live. We do not get to see each other all that often, despite her close proximity, because of the fact that we both lead such busy lives. However, she often calls me on the telephone to chat about school. Right now she is involved in a project about the Prussian military, and she was telling me about her research on the pickelhaube helmets. I was interested in what they look like, so she sent me a link of an auction for one to show me how different they really are.

Have you ever dreamt of hitting those high notes that your favorite singers can hit? Having a wide vocal range can open up your singing catalogue to many different songs. Here are ways to increase vocal range. The vocal muscle is similar to all muscles in your body. Before you work on your voice, you need to stretch it out. If you do warm up exercises before you start to sing, you will find a whole new range in your voice. Start with simple yawning exercises, then move on to simple scales. A ten minute warm up can give you the ability to hit new notes.

The key to corporate comedy success is a combination of the experienced corporate comedian you have hired and the set up of the corporate event itself. Program placement is vital. The end of the event program is desirable for most comedy shows, unless the program runs long. Then the end of the program is the worst position. Also, the audience needs to be close to the stage - a dance area or buffet table gap negatively affects corporate comedy. Finally, the corporate comedian needs to be an experienced professional who understands the situation, the audience and how clean the show must be.
