Veterinary clinics are important places that all animal lovers must visit at some point in their lives. Whether you have a snake, a bird, a dog, a cat, a ferret, a weasel, a marmot, a fisher, an otter, or an elephant, or even a giraffe, you can be sure that you’re going to be spending your time in some veterinary clinics. I suppose the only pet you could keep that would allow you to avoid veterinary clinics would be worms, but they are not fun pets, so I think it is probably worth it to endure those uncomfortable days or nights at veterinary clinics
.
I have been to some great veterinary clinics, and I have been to some terrible veterinary clinics. There are certain tricks to knowing which will be the good ones. If you are greeted on the phone by a pleasant voice and scheduled in a prompt, timely manner, you may want to add that establishment to your list of preferred veterinary clinics. If the phone is answered instead by an angry or worried voice, and you hear someone screaming to “get it off me” in the background, you may want to consider other veterinary clinics.
I find the best veterinary clinics are the most spotless ones. If a place is kept tidy and in good order, you know that all the other important stuff is taken care of. After all, who has time for cleaning if the animals have found ways to escape from the cage, or the medicine has run out, or the staff isn’t coming to work on time? If the places you visit look good, it should speak very well for those types of veterinary clinics.
Good luck finding the one that is right for you! You’ll find them.
