An old friend of mine is in Albany, on a business matter. She is staying at an albany extended stay hotel that is very close to me. We have been having the best time. I have not seen her in almost ten years, and now we are getting to spend every evening together. Since she is not from this area, we have been doing all the touristy things. I must admit I am getting to see things in my city that I have never really noticed before. She is scheduled to head back home in another week, I am really going to miss having her around.

We managed a few hours to sleep on this long journey, but the poor condition of Indian roads and many turns we felt as medicine bottles ready for use when we arrived in Ajmer at the edge of the Thar Desert.
